Dave Pounder is an adult film producer, director, and seasoned performer.  He currently lives in Boca Raton, FL and is president of Dave Pounder Productions, an adult entertainment company that produces reality content primarily aimed at the young, college-couples market.

David was born in Haroldwood, England (Essex County) while his father was working oversees for Ford Motor Company.  A few months after his birth, his family returned to Farmington Hills, MI, a suburb of Detroit, where he spent the first 18 years of his life growing up.

Ironically, Dave attended Detroit Catholic Central High School, where he studied college preparatory courses and started to develop an interest in pornography.  After graduation, he attended Michigan State University (MSU) and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Finance.  It was at MSU where he met the first love of his life, Leslie, whom he dated and lived with for almost 6 years.

Upon graduating from college, Dave accepted a position with GE Capital in the Leadership Development Program (LDP), an exclusive, intensive management training program within General Electric.  The LDP program required him to relocate every six months to different cities including Philadelphia, Denver, and Richmond, during which time he held key positions in Risk Management, Finance, Information Technology, and Marketing.

After working for two years, Dave attended Arizona State University (ASU) and attained a Masters degree in Information Management from the College of Business.  It was at ASU where he became very active sexually and joined the swinger community in Phoenix.  Upon graduation, he accepted a position in the Risk Management group at WFS Financial, a subsidiary of Wachovia Bank, in Irvine, CA, where he purchased a condo and resided for several years.

Dave entered the adult industry in 2001 and since then has directed over 100 titles for companies including Pimp Roll, Hundies, Top Bucks, Python, Pay Serve, Blazing Bucks, Kink.com (Cybernet Media), Mayors Money, Rage Cash, Triple X Cash, Daydream Entertainment, and BangBros.com, the leading adult internet company based in Miami, FL.

Dave was Executive Vice President at Daydream Entertainment Group, an adult Internet company based in Glendale, CA, from 2003-2008, where a pro-am, character-based, adult reality website was designed around his personality, BikiniBanger.com.  The Bikini Banger line was nominated by Adult Video News (AVN) as Best Pro-Am Series, and the Bikini Banger Vol. 2 title was nominated as Best Pro-Am Release.  The interests in BikiniBanger.com were sold to Dee Cash in 2008.

Prior to producing and directing, Dave performed in hundreds of adult films where he was the only male performer in the business that did not engage in anal sex scenes and refused to perform in scenes involving violence and/or degrading of the women involved in the production.  In an effort to appeal to mainstream audiences, all movies released by Dave Pounder Productions do not include any anal sex, violence, or degradation toward the people involved in the production, and the company has just instituted a condom-only policy to further protect performers and show an element of social responsibility.  Dave still performs on occasion and is represented by A-List Talent in Los Angeles.

In addition to porn, Dave co-hosted Real Talk, a call-in radio show similar to Loveline that originated in 2001 at the University of California at Irvine on 88.9FM KUCI, where people called in to discuss issues related to dating, relationships, pornography, politics, and current events.  Real Talk was schedule to air live on 97.1FM KLSX in Los Angeles, but CBS Radio pulled the program on the day it was supposed to air due to concerns over a perceived endorsement of pornography by the network.

Dave is one of only a few porn personalities who has also gained acceptance by the mainstream entertainment industry.  He has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Weakest Link, Blind Date, 5th Wheel, and several other mainstream television programs, in addition to appearing in music videos for Fiona Apple, Engine Down, and the Willowz.  He is one of only a handful of adult celebrities with membership in both the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA); in addition, he was signed to Baron Entertainment, which is one of only a handful of SAG franchised talent agencies in Los Angeles.

Dave is playing an active role in shaping the future of adult entertainment and ensuring the viability of the industry.  He has consulted with health laboratories to expand STD testing and access to secure online test results for adult performers at any given time (see www.talenttestingservice.com).  He is a strong proponent of federal legislation mandating condom use in the production, distribution, and retail sales of adult content; state legislation mandating monthly STD testing of adult performers to include HIV, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis, and herpes; raising the legal age limit to perform in adult films from 18 to 21 years; state-licensing adult entertainers; creating a .xxx top level domain to house adult related websites; and imposing a small excise tax on consumer sales of adult products and services to help fund comprehensive sex education, rape counseling/support services, child protective services, and shelters for victims of domestic abuse.  He has given several speeches and lectures regarding adult entertainment at Indiana University, The University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and several other respected academic and policy institutions.

Dave was admitted to and attended a fully-funded Ph.D. program at Indiana University (Kinsey Institute) to study the psychological and sociological effects of sex and sexuality in media.  His dissertation was to see if there was a relationship between consumption of adult content and the propensity to be unfaithful in a committed relationship.

Outside of the entertainment realm, Dave enjoys kayaking, bicycling, long walks, tennis, hiking, camping, going to the beach, and just about anything else outdoors and active.  He also enjoys watching DVDs, biographies, and documentaries, reading non-fiction, playing chess, and eating pizza.  He is very interested in an active, healthy lifestyle.  He does not drink, smoke, nor is he involved with any kind of illegal drugs.

Dave’s future plans include a complete retirement from performing in adult films so he may focus on developing an intimate relationship, producing a television documentary on the social, psychological and economic costs of performing in adult films, syndicating his radio show nationwide, attaining a black belt in Hung Gar and/or Muay Thai, and ultimately writing a book about all of his experiences.
